MUSH = Multi User Shared Hallucination

... as in MUD... Multi User Dungeon

Remember the old text based adventure games? Well these are similar to
those, but multi player. Varxsis has on average 30+ players and has
peaked at 60 at a time.

Imagine playing Battletech (or FT/DSII/SG ... you name it) in real time
with up to 20 mechs/players per side. It's exhilarating I can tell you
:)

Right now I'm working on the design and specification of the interface and
some of the pseudocode of the operational background. I have a MUCK coder
that's interested in seeing it to fruition, so if we get the green light from
GZG, I'll likely be looking for a couple other MUF experts to put things
together.

MUSHes and MUCKs are text-based virtual reality servers, as it were.
MUF is a FORTH-derived language used to program MUCKs. SANITY is what
I'd lose wholesale if I tried programming MUF.:)
