Hi all,
Been checking out some URLs I found left and right and one of the led me
to http://riders.com/
They have an impressive online ordering catalogue including Star Trek
miniatures from Star Fleet Games. I've seen these on another site, painted and
all. WOW! They beat the living hell out of Irregular Trek like ships. Retail
price is $5.95 but online they're 4.17.
Problem is post and packing: surface mail costs 15.00 for orders up to 50.00
so to keep cost down I have to order more (now that's an excuse to buy some
lead;). But before I send in a $49.99 order, I'd like to know if anybody has
had any dealings with these guys, and if so what is your experience.
(They also have the WEG Star Wars figs listed)

I buy from Riders' Online quite often to support my RPG habit. You may want to
check the box that tells them to just not order anything they'd have to
backorder from your list, but that aside, they send out promptly, books that
are primo quality. The S&H charges encourage large orders, no argument there
at all.

A GREAT (not just good) site to see Star Trek Miniatures is:
http://durendal.cit.cornell.edu/sfb/miniatures.html
Which is, I suspect, the one you're referring to.

I've ordered stuff from them in the past. The only downside is that not
everything listed in the current catalogue is available. For example, I
ordered a B-10, D5/F5 and Romulan Firehawk along with some $50 worth of
others. A very polite e-mail from Riders apologised for not shipping
them - they were "out of print" and permanently unavailable.
The other $50 worth of stuff came through on time (to Australia yet) and only
cost $25 for air delivery. So I'd RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY as a
reliable firm. If your order is not completed, then just e-mail them,
and they will reply. Unbelievable.

My biggest problem with Riders is that they don't update their catalog often
(or on some lists, never). Some contain items that are OOP, some
have out-of-date prices, most don't have new items produced in the last
6+
months. Of course, it's been over a month since I've been to the site and
maybe they've rectified it, but it has kept me from ordering from them for
months now. I have bought from them before and had good success, though. They
also have just about the most complete and extensive catalog on the net (few,
if any, construction zones), but they really need to keep up with it.
