I've got a few questions for the "Gearheads" here. What scale are the Heavy
Gear minis in? (they look like they're 15mm or so, but I could be
wrong) How similar is the construction/game system in the computer
games compared to the HG miniature game? Also, is it my imagination or do the
gears look like the mechas from Votoms?:) Thanks for any info.

The new minis are in N-scale / 1/144, like miniature train sets; the
old ones were HO / 1/87 scale; the new ones are actually better for
moving around on a board, but harder to paint detailed (unless you're used to
painting 6mm figs).

The computer game's construction system is... similar enough so you wouldn't
be lost. Nowhere near as usefully detailed, of course.

Deliberately so. VOTOMS was one of the original inspirations (just like Gundam
inspired Jovian Chronicles).
