I am going to Atlanta for ComDex. Could anyone recommend game stores to
check out - preferably in the downtown area. I hope to find some deals
on spacecraft minis. Thanks.

Probably the best place to check out in Deep Downtown would be The Sword of
the Phoenix; check the yellow pages for the nearest store in mall nearest the
hotel you stay in. If you venture out of the Perimeter to the north, there are
a couple of good game stores up this way. The Nest (the full name escapes me
at the moment, again, see the
yp) has an /extensive/ minis wall and fairly oft games going on in the
back. Titan Games and Comics doesn't have quite as extensive collection, but
is worth checking out, nonetheless.

Well, there is nothing in the downtown area, really. You are going to have to
drive a little bit. Places to check out include Sword of the Phoenix just
north of Lenox
Mall. Excellent for games so-=so on minis.
WarRoom, up north on 85 past the perimeter. Good mini selection with a more
military slant than SoP.

Titans has numerous locations around the city, but no one store has the
selection of the two above.

A smaller store, Starbase Atlanta, might suit your needs. Its over by
Emory and has a Sci-Fi theme. It has lots of older minis and stuff
(loads of old GW epic last time I checked). They were passing out 30% off
coupons for all gaming supplies so their selection might be smaller than
before.

Those are the best bets. There might be more, but they will be smaller stores
that happen to have what you want.
