Subject: WWII German planes

Just bumped into the Luft '46 site while looking through VTOL hits.

It's sorta OT but the site deals with some of theR&D designs at the end of
WWII. There's some great computer art and information on aircraft that look
more 40's sci fi then actual designs but were actual ideas at the time. Anyone
interested in neat and exlectic aircraft should pop in a check it out.

It's funny,

The more I look at the stuff the Germans were working on from planes to
missiles to tanks, the more I realise how much these designes have been
used as the basis for popular sci-fi ever since.  In the case of the
planes - looking at the designs I realise that almost ever popular
"spacefighter" design has its roots there.
