K,
not to honk anyone off or start another really stupid war of words, is the
Win95/NT Starship Generatro ready yet? If I remeber correctly an
approximate date had been set for Oct 7. I figured I would wait a respectable
period after that date until I voiced my question.

Well, I don't remember who was writing it but I know mine is almost ready for
some beta testers. It doesn't save or load ships right now but you can print
it out.

The core has been done for almost 10 days, I'm finalizing the disk access and
import procedures now, lookin at monday at the latest now, very busy work
schedule lately.
p.s.
The import will take the semi standard FTF files people have been workin on
and import them into the ship builder. You can save the ship as a binary (for
use by the program, and later the simulator), as a text file for use in PBEM,
or as a HTML for web use.

No offense, but why bother putting much work into it when the Fleet Book
and a completely revamped construction system are just around the corner?

Still I doubt I'll completely ignore FT2 just beacuse the Fleet book comes
out. A lot of people I know who don't play regularly probably
won't use FT3 so it'll still be handy. Also how many non-subscribers
to this list will know about the new fleet book? Many will continue
to use the old system. Anyway it'll probably be easy enought to adapt.
