Subject: was [Stargrunt-Fullthrust] SG2 units (Soviet/Russian/ESU)
--------- Begin forwarded message ---------- <snip> doing the math... 1 squad/BMP commander w/ assault rifle (AK-47, AKM, AK-74) and pistol Glenn: FP:3 Total of 3 1 grenadier with an RPG (equals reloadable IAVR) and pistol Glenn: IAVR is Support weapon D10, D12* Could this count as a GMS/P? 1 assistant grenadier w/ an AK and extra rockets for the RPG, the grenadier and assistant carry approx 8-10 rockets between them. Glenn: AK - FP:3 Total 6 4 riflemen w/ AK's (FP:3, Impact D8) Glenn: 4 x FP:3 is 12 Total 18 1x 2-man light machine gun team w/ PK machine gun (FP:D8, Impact D10) Glenn: This would count as a Conventional MG (SAW) of D8, D10 or a Size 1 Heavy Weapon? I assume the former given your stats. And this would become a second (After the IAVR) support weapon (this was much discussed on the gzg-l list as I recall - well, maybe not "much"...)? Okay, so far. Two Support weapons are covered by many house rules. (recently, this has been replaced with two RPK-74 automatic rifles/squad automatic weapons (FP:4, Impact D8)) (yes FP:4, its not a typo) Glenn: Minus the SAW and add two (I think, one per old LMG crew member) FP:4 weapons totals (18 + 4 + 4 = 26 - over a double D12! - and a support weapon [IAVR.]) Seems a bit out of whack with the futuristic LTAR of FP:2 D8 and, I think, more than a equal sized squad of AAR armed troops (FP:2, Impact D10). And the Gauss Rifle with FP:2, D12 impact. Current Russian Squads out firepower future ESU Squads? But it's late and maybe I made a math error. I'll look again when I get up (0430 hours - 6 hours, sigh. Then again maybe I will try adding it upo again tomorrow after work.) 6 mm miniatures rule! Gracias,
