Are they ever! LOL I'm in the same boat- I love mecha.

Easy enough to do- just ignore that little line on DSII p.14 that says
that "SIGNATURES of walkers are ONE HIGHER then normal for their size
class..."
and add in the right equipment to round out your mecha and you're in business.

Good luck making the rules for Gundam where you have the White Base hovering
over the battlefield though!:)
