At 7:49 (GMT) this morning I received and opened an email with a virus from a
fellow UK Go player.
I realised this within five minutes but as is common with these things it sent
the virus on to everyone in my Address Book.
This is the new virus WDBadtrans.
THE EMAIL SUBJECT WILL LOOK LIKE A PLAUSIBLE SUBJECT FOR ME TO BE WRITING TO
YOU ABOUT. THE ATTACHMENT IS OF THE FORM CARD.DOC.pif.
Do not open it.
If you have already done so please update your virus software immediately and
check your system to remove the virus.

This is the second time I have been sent this at home (plus once at work) from
a Yahoo list member so this just completes the set (this being my
only non-Yahoo list)!
You should see what "Goner" did at work this week [three days after a note
about not opening unexpected attachments (Badtrans) in that case]

Clean-up is now in day two and the system is closed except to external
incoming traffic. Bet someone gets a written reprimand (as a minimum) over
that snafu?
Thank God the free version of Juno won't let me access attachments!
