Subject: Victory conditions in one off games.
Just an idea I'd like some feedback on - how about having victory conditions flexible depending on the type of fleet and it's purpose eg. Pirate Victory Pts = mass of ships captured and half mass of ships destroyed. Merchant Victory Pts = mass of merchant ships and half mass of other ships that escape off opposite edge of board. Military 'wreak havok' Victory Pts = mass of ships and half of merchant ships destroyed. Military 'peaceful blockade' Victory Pts= mass of merchant ships escaped less those contained. Military 'commerce raid' Victory Pts = mass of merchant ships destroyed or captured. You'd also subtract the mass of the ships you lost from the victory points. These formulas are rough and need play testing, but they represent an interesting way of changing the average players tactics. Ideas???? Regards,
