Thanks so much, Colin! Haven't seen much for the Romanov's for a long time,
and I've missed 'em. After I pare the NRE material out, I shall be
investigating including the hegemony's struggles into my vision of ESU's
'history'.

Funny, I keep telling myself that the NAC is my first love, but my east
European and Slavic studies way back in college keep me interested in the
above. ;->=

Tsar of all the Russias was actually dropped in an historic ceremony in 2177
when Joseph II ascended the throne. The official title is now Tsar of Free
Russia, Grand Commander of the Hegemony of Romanov States. The Heir Apparent
bears the title Tsarevich Grand Duke of Belarus, whilst the Tsar's second son
is the Tsarevich Prince of Nuchovski (a continent on the capital planet of the
Hegemony, Duma) & the Tsar's daughter is the Tsarevna Grand Duchess of the
Ukraine.

If you're interested of course.

Colin

One of these days I'm going to have to hunt down Colin and refight some
engagements from the NRE-Romanov War. See how well his puny forces
stand up to the weight of Imperial displeasure.

BTW, exactally what titles does the Tsar claim (other than Tsar of all the
Russias)? Knowning the Imperial penchant for deflating foreign titles
(Charles, Imperator Romanus became Charles, Rex Francia in Imperial usage)
we're likely to refer to him as the "Prince of Kiev" or somesuch.

What would be the appropriate condescending term, "Rex Russ" perhaps? What is
Latin for Russia?
