Hello,
Has anybody, Officially or Un-Officially come up with any stats for the
UNSC, are there any plans for human 'advanced tech' goodies that these vessels
might carry.
I assume the Islamics would be put together using existing FB1/2 rules.
Regards.............

There were a few, mainly of the SDN and SDN-X, posted when the first
batch of minis were released. Check the archives.
Why do you feel the UN should have 'advanced tech' goodies?

aforementioned Major Powers).
I have some rough self-designs for what I would consider 'older'
UN ships, with some vague notes about advanced tech options but haven't had
time to flesh them out to my liking yet (want to bounce
some of this off of Oerjan one of these days - hee!). You can see
my totally incomplete UN stuff at my UN Fleet Roster Page:

There was a thread about them on the list, you might check the back issues. If

For the X I would add cargo and probably 2 fighter squardons, although...
There should probably be a pinnace there somewhere.

The Islamics don't even use all the Human tech (eg no PTorps).

After the Second Holocaust, I don't expect the Israelis would exactly have a
great deal of faith and trust in the UN...to put it mildly.

I think the GF probably remained highly partisan (toward New Israel) after the
development of FTL.

"After achieving its primary goal?" There are those in New Israel who would
argue that even in 2194 that goal has not yet been fully met. :-/

That is an interesting alternate history for New Israel from the one I've been
working on. It makes NI a much more minor player and basically
protectorate and/or tech-lab for the UNSC. I wanted NI to be a small but
strong local force, so I took them more in the direction of the independent
spirit of the Chalutzim and a militant, somewhat paranoid, new-world
Zionism.

That too. After the destruction of Old Israel, the rebuilt nation cannot aford
to rely on anyone else to be their protector. That's not to say there can't be
strong alliances (e.g. Japan, a primary contributor to the GF and current
major venture and trading partner). Plus, since it's also true that Epsilon
Indi is located closer to Sol and the Core than many of the Inner Colonies,
and is also along the coreward line of the KV incursion (Using Nyraths
admittedly unofficial starmap as a guide) the defensive needs and he UN and NI
seem to be converging at the and of the 22nd century.
Roger, my take on NI and its relationships with the other FT powers are at

probably bored seeng the URL.

Not as such, but I was suddenly inspired by this thought: As the GZG UNSC
fleet models are highly modular, how about listing stats for each modular
component? Something along the line of: Mass, Hull Boxes, Crew factor, plus
any other systems in the module
Example: a 'main hull' module would contain weapons, shields - but see
below - sensors, etc. It could also have unallocated space for
customising to a particular design. A cargo module would have some hull and
cargo space. The 'wing' modules could have hull and weapons systems
The problems are those systems whose size depends on the size of the ship,
namely shields and drive (any others?).
Shields could be handled by sone having any in the modules, if required, the
shields would have their mass calculated after the rest of the ship is
designed, and would be installed in the unallocated space.
Main drive - looking at the pics in the catalogue, I can make out three
diferent drive modules - lets call them small, medium, & large.
each drive module has a _drive factor_ (DF) as follows:
Small: DF=150, Medium: DF=300, Large: DF=450 (these values are primarily
to demonstate the concept - they probably need tweeking)
To determine the thrust factor for the ship, sum up the DF for the drive
modules, and divide by the Mass (TMF) of the ship.
If anyone is interested, I'll work these ideas out properly.
