Greetings all,

Just a short note to point out to everyone that the Unofficial Stargrunt II
Web Site:

http://stargrunt.home.ml.org

has been updated! New Rules (Thomas Barclay's Overwatch) and - finally!
-
the Gallery (yay!) have been added. I'm quite proud of the first set of
miniatures pictures currently on site, so please make sure you pop by and
check them out.

I'm considering starting up a general gallery of pictures relating to Ground
Zero Games. Anyone support the idea?:)

Nice!

Suggestions that you are free to ignore: It took over 30 seconds to load the
thumbnail images on the gallery. You may want to reduce the colors in the
thumbnails (to 16 or 4 colors) and perhapse reduce the size of the thumbnails.
If you do this you will want to add text discriptions to the images.

Hmmm... I'll look into it... I was worried about the length of d/l time
of the thumbnails, but I also wanted to HAVE thumbnails and not just a text ID
or something similar.. I'll see about squashing them even further...:)

Thirty seconds? That's not that bad given the pictures. It took me about 15.
Might just ahve been a net warp.

Nice website! It seems as though one of your anchors is wrong, though.

The Oceanic Union trooper (ou3.jpg) has the path incorrectly specified. Should
be:
http://nemesis.com.au/fastjax/stargrun/gallery/infantry/ou3.jpg
Is: http://nemesis.com.au/fastjax/stargrun/gallery/ou3.jpg

Just trying to help out!

BTW, nice bases on the minis!

Greetings all!

I must apologise to those people who have been following the Unofficial
Stargrunt II Web Site. As is usual in Life, other things keep getting in the
way - some of them pleasurable (and profitable!), and some not so.

I'm just writing to let everyone know that the site has NOT been forgotten,
and work will proceed again soon!

What I would like from anyone whom may be interested is
suggestions/comments
on the site (especially the former). All comments are welcome; I'm thinking
about a complete overhaul, as I've learned much in Web Design since the last
one.

Regards,

It's been some time coming...

Now ready for the world to see!

The new, improved, cleaner, crisper, sharper, more energy, more carbohydrates,
more iron, less fat, less sugar Unofficial Stargrunt II Web Site!

Yes, the site has been given a good working over.

There are now three mirror sites at which you can find USG2WS:

Original Site (Australia) http://nemesis.com.au/fastjax/stargrunt

Tripod Site http://members.tripod.com/~fastjax

GeoCities Site http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Stargate/6326

Choose whichever is closer to you or gives you better access speed.

Please note also that the complete overhaul is not quite complete. There is
stuff that used to be on the old site that has not yet been integrated into
the new. Don't worry, they shall appear as the rebuild continues.

Please email me with any comments you may have.

I guess since it was mentioned in a recent message, it's about time I posted a
mention of this site again:

Unofficial Stargrunt II Web Site
http://stargrunt.virtualave.net

An indication of what's on the site (from the main page):

Briefing: What is Stargrunt? Rules: New and improved rules, ideas and changes.
Operations: Scenarios. Images: Pictures of miniatures, games and people.
Reports: Fiction, after battle reports and reviews. Uplink: Links to other
places of interest.
Comms: E-mail, guestbook, mailing list, and message board.

I'm invesitgating the possibility of adding a "Backgrounds" section, though
this may appear under "Rules". Also, the message board is in the process of
being revamped.

Please drop by and make sure you visit the Uplink section, where you may enter
your own links to various places and have them appear straight away! (This
includes a "Players" section which, until the Player Location page finds a new
home and is databased, is the best place to advertise yourself to other
players!)

Sorry, Jeremy, but I could have SWORN there was a long list there
of links including cross-genre. *blush* Now I shall have to search
for such a site or assume I've gone senile...

The point I made about others speaking up and adding their links stands,
though. These sites are marvelous resources, tirelessly worked by selfless
heroes, and deserve our support!

High thanks to Jeremy, the Marks, and others: Better men than I!

There was a long list, but when the script was installed most of them
disappeared... I haven't got around to putting them into the database.

(I was sort of hoping other visitors would do some of that!)

Well thank you! Submitting a URL to the Unofficial Stargrunt II Web Site is
easy.. go to the site (http://stargrunt.virtualave.net), go to the
Uplinks section and click on ADD. You will then go to a form page where you
can enter the details and select the section that you wish the URL to appear
in.

Just a short note to advise that USG2WS
(http://stargrunt.virtualave.net)
has been updated with FOUR new house Rules and a new Op. Also, the
long-lost
Spice Marines have returned in the Image gallery.

I've been going back through my collection of mailing list messages and
grabbing as much as I can to do with Stargrunt, so look forward to more
updates in the future.

If anyone has anything they would like to submit, please send it to me at

Greetings all,

http://stargrunt.virtualave.net

After a while away from the site for various reasons, things are back in
motion again! Some of the latest updates are:

12/27 - Message Board is back. Not only a place to chat about SG2, but
also a community that other sites can join (and customize the look, to fit
their own sites) so that the message board can be shared across many sites. If
you have a SG2 site, please check this feature out.

12/27 - Tables of organisation. I've collected a few organisation
tables. A couple are up, more to come soon.

12/27 - Grey Aliens rules. Beth Fulton's great rules for the Greys.

Remember that on the History page of the site
(http://stargrunt.virtualave.net/history.html), you can not only check
out
what's gone before but subscribe to be notified when that page changes -
and thus know straight away when the site is updated.

Also, the Uplink section
(http://stargrunt.virtualave.net/cgi-bin/dclinks98/dclinks98.cgi) is a
CGI database of links that you can add to as you like. Feel free to add any
sites under the various available categories.

Subject: Unofficial Stargrunt II Web Site

Hi everyone!

There's been major changes at the Unofficial Stargrunt II Web Site. Firstly,
the new design: I hope you all like it. I feel it presents a better face for
the Unofficial Stargrunt II Web Site. If anyone has any trouble viewing the
site, please let me know! As well, the site incorporates some new and
important features: News: There's now a better News interface, to which people
can subscribe and automatically receive updates via email. Also, all news will
be archived, so that you can visit the history of this site. The archive is
even searchable! Poll: Every month a new poll question will be asked (if you
think a good question, please send it to me!) Don't worry, I'm not doing
anything with these stats besides providing an interesting diversion.:)
Uplinks: I know, Uplinks isn't new, but it's improved! Now not only can you
submit your own site links, but the system keeps track of how many people have
clicked on a link, and you can rate the site on the other end of the link!

The future? In time to come I'm hoping to expand this site even further with
more rules/operations/images/fiction, and more interesting (I hope)
diversions - maybe even a game or two.

Please subscribe to the news update service (I'd prefer not to clutter up the
GZG Mailing List with posts like this <grin>). This way, a message will be
sent direct to your email box containing the latest news, as soon as its
posted! I wont be sharing these email addresses with anyone, so don't worry
about your details appearing on some spammer's list.

Please also remember for the moment that the design upgrade is a work in
progress. All the information is there, nothing has been removed, it just
takes time to shift all the old stuff across to the new design, not to mention
the normal sleeping, eating and working that keeps life so interesting!

Feel free to pass along any opinions etc..

Regards,
