Subject: Unit labels

For some reason my labelling scheme not only shows I'm a computer geek but
tends to annoy people.

I use standard plastic bases and code numbers in binary along the edge. So,
for instance, unit 4 would be

Yellow White Yellow Yellow, (0100)

unit 6 would be

Yellow White White Yellow, (0110)

For some reason this annoys those that don't know how to read binary.

To be fair my girlfriend, who has a much steadier touch than I do, paints
numbers along the edge.

Oh, as far as painting technique, the heels of my hands are always pressed
together when I paint. It doesn't matter if you shake as long as everything
shakes together.:)

*I'm* a computer geek, and this would annoy me. ;-) Besides, Hex would
conserve more space. ;-)

If your SO actually participates in the hobby, it would be a poor man
indeed to criticize anything she does. ;-) The other day, I showed my
wife some painting I had done. Her reply was, "Oh, that's great," and I was
almost floored with a flashback to when I was three and showed
my mother something I had drawn. ;-)

My table has a shelf running underneath it. I brace both feet against it and
both arms on the table, and consign myself to repainting the

Bah! A true electronics geek would use the decimal resistor code;) (black=0,
brown=1 (I think), etc. I always need to look it up;))

Now, what should a physics geek use? Hrm...

Cheers,

I don't criticize in the least. Every time I complain about something she does
she trashes me the next time we play. I no longer comment when she talks about
her "little people." I've learned.

I'm trying to get her into SG2, but so far she has only shown interest
in Go, RPGs, and Necromunda. I'm hoping my micro-machines SW stuff
I have based for SG will change that.

Oh, I meant to add, I recently had some pretty disturbing pains in my wrists.
As a computer geek, I was extremely worried that RSI had caught up with me at
last. I redid my workplace to no avail. I
finally found the culprit-- it was my *painting* table. My seat was
too short, and the edges of my table were cutting into my wrists. I

Well I'm a librarian, does that mean I have to label my figures with a
classification shceme?

I could stick the Officers under Management Skills and the sappers under Motor
Mechanics or Home Improvements!

I ain't doing it I tell ya I ain't:)

The clean mnemonic, for the lists sake, is: Bad Boys Race Our Young Girls But
Violet Gains Wins.
Black brown red orange yellow green blue violet gold white, 0-9.

Ah! Send it to me, I forgot it years ago.

But that's what Google's for! ;->=

I think the previous mnemonic is missing Gold, Silver, and None.
