I have Twilight:2000 (1st ed, 2.0, and 2.2). I still prefer 1st ed though.

Never owned it. I like the game in general though, and have some V1 stuff I
use as source material for V2 - especially the Krakow stuff, I like the
Helo
stats/rules.

Have you been to the site?

My friend has a copy of version 1. I think he bought it primarily for the
"alternate history/future/military" stuff.
Personally I didn't think the game was going to fly as far as it did. One
thing I thought was odd, was the "character generation form" from which you
could fill out the character sheet. (made me think I was filling out a tax
form...)

It did have an interesting take on some things, like the way it handled
vehicals.

I thought the character creation concept was kinda neat. It built characters
which were balanced by statistics such that high stat. characters
would have low skills/military experience/low age while low stat.
characters
would have much experience/high age/etc... It created well balanced
characters (at least IMHO).

Once you made 10 or 20 characters (which wasn't uncommon in our group) you
could create a character in your head.

Vechile stuff was too complicated.:)

I thought character creation was fairly simple (bit too much like doing troop
counseling lol) was fast enough once used to it.

The Vehicle stuff gave you allot of room to play with though a bit over done.
