Top 10 Reasons Mardis Gras is better than GZG-ECC III:
10. More restaurants in one block of the French Quarter than in all of
Lancaster. 9. Diving for Mardi Gras beads is excellent training for catching a
NAC Valley Forge model as it tips off the table top. 8. Folk in Louisiana have
way better accents than those in PA. 7. Cafe Du Monde beignets are
wonderful... and if you leave them long enough and shellack them, you have a
killer asteroid. 6. 20 hours there and back with "Da Wife", with antique
shopping on the side, cancels out a lot of "you bought MORE lead???" comments.
5. Just how many women in skimpy clothing are going to be in PA this
weekend??? 4. Catching a Zulu coconut is not only an honour in itself, but it
makes a dandy planetoid afterwards. 3. Shiloh's on the way (sort of), but I've
already been to Gettysburg 3
times...
2. 16C weather in PA or 30C weather in LA? Is this a trick question??? 1. 1
week in New Orleans = $500 duty free at the border!

God knows Pennsylvania food isn't worth paying for anyway.

Indisputable.

How does this connect with #5 below?

Well, all it takes is one...

Is this a trick question? How can women be in skimpy clothing and Power
Armour at the same time? ;-}

Ah, so you've not seen Shirow's "Intron Depot" art book, with all those lovely
pics of Deunan, Hitomi etc in the "skinsuits" that they wear inside the
Landmates.....?

Yup, that's the one! The site you found has rather naughty
copyright-infringing scans from the book (actually books - Intron Depot
covers Shirow's SF work (Appleseed et al) while the new(ish) Intron Depot 2 is
all fantasy art). Wonderful books by a superb artist, and they are still
available.

You obviously have not seen Project A-KO have you?
(FYI) Project A-KO is a Japanese Anime show, where the villian B-Ko has
a rather skimmpy power armour with a startling aammouunt of missiles, strength
augmentation and push up bra properties.

Funny you should mention this. On Friday night, there were literally dozens of
women walking around the hotel in skimpy clothing. I personally shared an
elevator ride (No, that's not a euphemism! <g>) with a woman who was wearing
nothing but her panties and a bippy top.

Jerry, you're kidding, right? You didn't see the big party on floor 2? When
the doors opened, there were at least 6 women walking past the doors, all
wearing
substantially less clothing than you'd expect to see in public. There
were at least a dozen in the lobby alone. Now, I'm not vouching for the
relative attractiveness of these women, I just mentioned it in response to #5.

Damn, that figures. As one of the two 'local' guys that were there, we left
to go home and evidently missed all of the fun.... :-(
But, I'd like to say thanks to Jon Davis, and everyone else at the Estrell
Convoy Attack game for all of the help and fun you provided to a couple of
newbies. Thanks a bunch, the evening was a great time.
Next year, we'll make it out for more. (And definitely do some exploring of
the after gaming parties too.....)

I wasn't exactly sure why all those people were walking around in pajamas
Friday night, but there were definitely quite a few of them. Were they with
the Tours de Sport travel agents event, or the Drug and Alcohol convention?
I think it was a Victoria's Secret demonstration. I can ask the hotel
representative I've been working with.
<humor> If they're running their event next year, are you interested in the
GZG Con to occur on the same weekend? With a few photos,
we could have some more models for the Combat babes. :-)
