I just saw this on USENET, thought it might be amusing and/or
interesting. They are talking about GW's revamping of Epic, their
approx. (used loosely) 1/300 scale game. Pretty soon, people on
r.g.m.warhammer will be referring to GZG as TOC!!

Just something else I found out - one of our astute newsgroup readers
emailed me last night with a little bit on info on the new Epic
rules-to-come. So far - it sounds as if they are making Epic
detachments into reflections of 40K-style armies instead of Epic army
cards. For example, one would buy a marine commander, a few tac squads,
and some tanks that would act as a SINGLE group - much like a 40K army.

Also, he told me that the firing sequence/phases would offer more
alternatives, so that one can shoot when one, say, FINDS an opponent, instead
of waiting for a proper "phase".

So tell me - does this not sound a little bit like Dirtside II? If so
(and GW has been influenced by its competitors), what else might we expect?
(anything except using anyone's miniatures, of course...)

My, my, my. Ain't it sweet.:>

Needless to say, I love it. Personally, I've long felt that TOC (tm) was
little more than good marketing.

Out here.
