Perhaps Tim can add this to the FAQ? And make any further mention of
this a crime--specifically, a phalony.

has some images - see esp. the 'Covers' and 'Mecha' links.
That's about the only useful link a two-minute Google trawl pulled up;
the rest are online stores selling the books & similar.
You can really see the Phalon here, although the models are simplified. It's
easier to draw something than sculpt it...
Of course, I own a middling sized PH flotilla, so I could be biased!

Tom pointed out that the Narns are working their way up to red-chit
status, with my assistance; so they have to be prepared to accept a few
training injuries. If they are invalided out of the bat squad, they can always
retire to a monastery and make music, as a phalonious monk.

You keep out of this. He doesn't have to shoot you now.

Ah, no, you're thinking about Charlie Parker (the reference is to "Gunslinging
Bird").
Besides, you'll get a chance to shoot me yourself, next weekend. Just
sign up as a brain-blind Imperial Muh-rine ("rhymes with latrine") in
the Silverstone game Saturday night.

As much as I hate to miss the opprotunity,... I am running a game on Saturday
night and Sunday morning (Full Metal
Ogre!!!!).

Too bad you won't get a chance to step away from the table for a
minute--but Ogre doesn't have an "opportunity fire" phase.
