Superior Work Randy!

I second Jed's call though: Get your rear in gear and cast these babies. Or
talk to Tony at Brigade or Jon at GZG, etc. I'd buy one (or two or three or
four). You should think about that before you paint it. It'd make a pretty
cool resin, although it might take some work. Sure easier than building
another one.

Bumper Stickers:

NAC MBT sticker: "MDC - Makes Dead Commies"
HEL armed vehicle: "Let their be LIGHT!" "Kravak: Can't live with em, CAN
shoot em." "My other MBT is a 6000 pt. OGRE." ESU Comissar vehicle: "Shoot
first. Forget the questions." NSL MBT: "Volkspanzer: The People's Tank"
"Warning: Being in my sights may be hazardous to your health."

Why are KV bugs? Well, they aren't fish. And they aren't animals like Bambi.
And they clearly aren't birds. Ergo they are clearly Bugs! You'd

<blushing> Thanks.

Is it a bad idea to paint it before casting it? Is it that the rubber will
ruin the paint job, or will the paint ruin the casting? Or is it both?

Aye. MAkes me almost wish I played SG too.

How do you cast from a model that's made of a hard material like that? I've
never done any castings.

I still prefer the one someone else posted, "If you can read this you're in
range."

Makes sense to me.... well at least to a majority of the voices....

G'day,

Well this biologist can't;)

They're not insectoid or microbial which are the usual bugs one would think
of. Though they may qualify under the original bug concept of being a personal
demon (from Wales tradition or so I've been lead to believe).

Personally if I had to associate them with a Terran group I would've said
reptilian or amphibious, though I generally would've just thought humanoid
alien;)

It won't be too disastrous if the model is painted - we've taken moulds
from masters that have been painted. One possibility is that the paint will
adhere to the mould and come off as the master is pulled away. Beyond ruining
your paint job, it means that the first few castings could come out with bits
of paint stuck to them, which might mar the finish. The very first resin mould
we ever made was of a painted master
of a 1/300th church - that one stuck to the mould so well we had to
literally destroy it to get it out of the mould. Somewhere I still have a
little ziplock bag full of shards of plastic card and modelling clay.
Don't panic, though - this was an exception to the rule, all of the
others have been fine.

Which is not nearly as quick and easy to say as "Bug". Which is the most
likely reason, actually.
