For those of you wanting to read another novel with space battles, "The Shiva
Option" is now available (at least it is in the US, I picked up a copy at the
local book store yesterday).

"The Shiva Option" is the 4th book in the Starfire gaming universe by David
Weber and Steve White. It is the sequel to "In Death Ground" and continues the
alliance's war againts the Arachnids (bugs). It is a hardcover book (669
pages) listing at $27 so you might want to get the 30% from Amazon.com if you
can wait for delivery.

Huge fleets, masive missile strikes, lots of things going boom.

Not always just a glass ball either. Think about what allegedly happened to
the dinosaurs. There are so many ways to destroy a world, after all.

It also acquires a different tactical connotation during the course of the
books. A quite reasonable one, in my opinion. I'm halfway through the book
now, and it's quite good.
