textfilter: chose text/plain from a multipart/alternative
I am not sure of what to say other maybe it is time to let it go.
We salvage what/who we can and generally point at Firedrake as the list.
By salvage I mean everytime you notice a pointer to the old address drop a
line to the owner of the new circumstances...
Just my thinking...
Oh and a request could we get the [GZG] header on the subject line?

No, because I find it very ugly, particularly if you're reading on a mobile
device that only displays the first few words of the subject. However, every
list message has distinctive headers: I recommend filtering on

Incidentally, I don't have any influence over what Jon decides to do in terms
of other mailing lists, discussion groups, web fora, etc.. What I do intend is
to keep running this list as long as people find it useful. It doesn't take up
a lot of server resources, so I don't foresee this
being a problem any time soon. (Of course, if anyone _is_ feeling
financially grateful, there's always my Amazon wishlist:

Hey, Roger,
I wanted to step up and say thanks for taking this on. It may not be a
resource burden, but it is, I'm sure, certainly appreciated by those here on
the list.

Is this needed? There should be enough info in the mail header as it is. I use
the following procmail snippet to move all gzg stuff to a separate folder
automagically:

I had not thought of that. Yes, that is annoying, I am spoiled I generally use
either my desktop or my iPad for mail, but when I have to resort to the phone
for it they just get in the way..
Sorry to piggyback here, but I can't figure out how to ensure this gets to the
right people. How can I unsubscribe from this 'replacement' GZG list? I'd
already unsubbed from the regular list when apparently it had some kind of
technical difficulties, and now that this backup list has been constructed I
cannot figure out how to unsub from it as well.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this.

Emphatically. Thanks a LOT for all your work, Roger.
Can't say I've had much, if any, trouble with the change in lists. Maybe
I'm both spoiled and old-fashioned, because I only read my e-mail on a
computer, but it was the work of less than a minute to add the firedrake
address to the filter that I already used to store list posts in a
dedicated folder -- but Thunderbird is good that way.

You can follow the instructions in the headers of every list message, or
just ask me - you're off the list now. (Your address was still on the
official list when I copied it earlier this week.)
