I was planning to post a short AAR, but you beat me to it Mike – glad you had
as much fun as I did!

I remembered Dyslexic 2’s name right up until I read this sorry it’s gone.
(I’ve got it at home.) Color Blind Man and Wife were Calvin & Kitty Curtis,
two RPG friends I cajoled into trying a minis game. Other Human Player was Buc
“Dances With Asteroids” Fox, who some of you may or may not remember from a
couple PBeMs I ran way back in the dark days before FTJava.

This was intended as an introductory scenario, as I wasn’t sure how many
experienced FT-ers we’d get. The humans used my UNSC minis, but to keep
things simple I used NAC designs, slightly modified in a few cases. 1xBB,
1xCA, 2xCS, 1xCE, 2xDD, 1xFF. (482 mass, 1620 pts) The alien
“Xenovores” used Indy’s graciously-loaned NSL fleet, but just to make
things interesting I gave them SMLs. 1xBDN, 1xBC, 1xCA, 1xCE, 1xCL, 1xDD,
1xFF. (492 mass, 1650 pts)

Amen. Even with below-average damage rolls, 8 of 9 salvos on target was
definitely the deciding factor. (Insert “better than Seven of Nine” joke
here.)

I thought that by giving the P-torps to *my* minis, rather than Indy’s,
that this wouldn’t be a problem, but… ;-)

Unfair. I had two tape measures, and I knew exactly where they were. I
just couldn’t reach my living room table from the Con. ;-/ Thank god
Mike saved my butt!

> St. Jon sent prizes. *0oohhhhhh* THANKS!!!!

And I didn’t have any trouble finding homes for them. :-> Since BenCon
is a Benefit Con, I donated a couple minis to the for-charity auction.
Though I didn’t stay to see how much they went for. (I left at 1am, I heard it
went until after 2) Thanks again, Jon! I also printed out a couple fliers and
catalouge updates, all of which went as well.

> The most fun I've ever had in an FT game.

Wow, high praise indeed! I look forward to our next game. I’m fair
certain we’ve turned Calvin & Kitty to the Dark Side. ;-)

Counts for a lot, man. Thanks again! BTW, the Hubble pics made it in time, I
set them out Sunday morning and they were gone by 2pm. Thanks again again!
