You're very much on the right track there. It only caught my eye that you, of
all people, would suggest pulling another gimmick to counter a gimmick. (A
tactic that works with one specific published design is a gimmick in my book)

IMHO, it is much more illustrative to show how a perfectly normal fleet can
have a fighting chance against the latest gimmick.
