On Wednesday, November 1, 2000, was one of those days:
Expedition 1 entered the International Space Station, and began mankind's
perminent occupation of space...never again will there be only humans on
Earth!
(Don't bring up the MIR station...it was occupied long before the ISS, but not
continously...)

Anyone else out there heard of the "grid," supposed eventual successor to the
web, allowing shared processing in addition to shared data.
I just read about it in a science article about CERN.
