Can anyone clue me in on a good gaming store (with plenty of GZG stuff)in the
SW Houston area. I have to go there on business next week, and would like to
see what Houston has to offer.
I dunno about "plenty" of GZG stuff but... Games masters Unlimited is a good
gaming store. There are 3 stores in the area... (though none are on the south
west side)
HWY 6 North (about a mile and a half before 290)<--- not too far north
in an area they call Copperfield You should be able to look the others up in
the big yellow book (one is SE side, by NASA, and the other I believe is way
up north in towards the woodlands).
Also, 3rd Planet might be a good place to look. They have a lot of older
SF/F stuff.
(and they ARE on the SW side - though just barely)
I dunno what the selection is like at these stores sense I don't live in
Houston any more. But, it should give you a good place to start looking. I
would suggest calling around and asking before you drive around unless you'd
like to just look (Houston is a big place).
Sorry I couldn't be more help,
Chris

is Nan's Comics and Games still there - in the vicinity between Rice
University and Rice Village? Near Bellaire, I believe. I used to live in
Houston 1990-1993 and bought a lot of stuff there those years. They used
to host NanCon every year.
Nan's IS still there (last I heard) Though last time I was there I wasn't too
impressed with the selection in gaming stuff. Same with Phoenix....
Another thing.. I flubbed in the prevous post. I was told tonight that Games
Masters has recently gone out of business. (I'm not sure if this is accurate
or not but that's what I was told mere hours after the first post).
sorry for mis-information if it's true...
another place in H-town is Midnight Comics on Westhiemer between Dary
Ashford and Eldridge
there is also a place off Richmond (in town some) I hear is a good place (I've
seen it but never been in) I don't recall the name of it either I think it's
call "the hobby shop" or something
