Actually I would say it is.... I don't have the FTFB on my, but I'm sure I
recall somewhere that you have to drive a certain distance from a planet
before you can jump, that is just what my version of the Gravity Well
Projectors do.. Of course you can't use it to force ships out of "hyperspace"
but you can prevent them from jumping out.

Well I wanted it not to be able to cover all the map, but with good tactical
placement you can cover all the important parts.

Well in my idea I never thought of charge up time but that is a good
idea...maybe one full turn? Duration? Well I would say since FT generally
doesn't deal with fuel, all the battle long...

Well that was why I thought I'd make this idea a bit more specific:) I really
liked the scenario options it gives, and the campaign implications.... It
works like any normal system really though you would need a mass upwards of
150 if you want some real protection and fighting power on it...But then you
"waste" lots of your fleets points in essentially a noncombatant...but that is
the point of this thing..to make that kind of decisions possible....

What about having the charge time like that of a wave gun, and the duration a
reversal of it. i.e. d6 rolled each turn till it is charged up, and then a d6
each turn until its out of juice.
