Summery of Morian History [Long]

Ok I sat around and wrote this. It's got most of the details in and gives room
to elaborate. If I've made any really bad conceptual errors please feel free
to put in imput.

The Frist Morian Republic

Planetary Geography * 26.4 hour rotation * 375 day year * rotation axis
slightly less then Earth's * gravity of 1.1 * 2 Moons, Myra 65% size of Luna,
Mina 15% size of Luna
* 4 main continents (2 approximately equal in size, 1 2/3rds size, 1 1/4
size) * 55% land 45% water * geography is mostly flatish with major
continental mountain regions * extensive fresh water rivers and lakes * salty
seas, slightly less then Earth's * Frozen poles

Stellar Cosmology * 4 planet system with asteroid belt
* P1 is 2/3rd size of Morian, closer to primary, too hot to be
inhabitable whithout extreme tech support, gravity of 0.8 * P2 is Morian * P3
is farther out, 20% larger, gravity of 1.3, has rudementary O2 N2 atmosphere
with high percentage of toxic gasses, liquid salt seas, 2 main continents, 70%
land 30% water, rudementary bacterial life, 1 moon, 50% size of Luna *
Asteroid Belt * P4 gas giant, well beyond the ring, has 5 moons, 90% size of
Jupitor, 2 moons rock with solid amonea seas, 1 rock with large traces of ice,
1 rock with continuous geological instability and eruptions

Pre Space * Civilisation developed from tibes, villages, empires and city
states, to countries * warfare used extensively to expand boarders of soveron
states * 3 great wars over 120 years took technology from calvary and single
shot carterage rifles to space based weapons platforms, fusion power,
supersonic jet aircraft, powered armour, and automated manufacturing * after
last war which ended with the destruction of the capitals of 3 nations, and
the idustrial capacity of 7, there were only a few regions capable of full
industrial production

The Great Disorder (BR {Before Republic} 34) * with the huge devistation of
the planet governemnts broke down and order was lost in much of the former
nations * a group of veterans in the southern continent started to enforce
order in their city * they only allowed veterans to join the decision making
process since they trusted other that had gone through what they had * as the
group expanded they brought the region in line and created a city state * at
the same time other groups of similar makeup sprang up in other areas of the
planet bring some order back to the choas * eventually these groups started to
amalgamate into full nations, the nations into reginal Unions then to a
planetary government

The Rebirth (FR {Founding of the Republic} 0) * with the final almalgamation
the First Republic was formed * only those who had served a term in the
military were eligable for citizenship * all service was voluntary * only
citizens could vote or run in the government * civilians had the same rights
as citizens except sufferage * The Rebublic started to undo much of hte damage
done during the final war

Solar Colonisation * space exploration had ended with the begining of the last
war * (FR 62) with the need for new resources the Republic began moving out
into the solar system again * (FR 74) orbital waystations were built and bases
where constructed on both moons * (FR 81) expiditions where sent to P1, P3 and
the belt * (FR 86) asteroids where brought back to Morian * (FR 92) first
colony was founded on P3 * (FR 93) expidition sent to P4 * (FR 96) material
processing was setup in the belt * (FR 105) P3 colonies expand and start
terraforming * (FR 105) perminant colonies are setup in the belt * (FR 115)
orbital colonies constructed around P4 * (FR 115) bases establish on P4 moons

First Contact (FR 147) * 2 cruiser size and 6 destoyer size bioships jump into
the system near the asteroid belt * biofleet starts destroying asteroids and
feeding on the debris * Morian Fleet sends a ship to investigate and
communicate * biofleet destroys the scout and heads towards P4 * biofleet
skims P4's atmosphere and while sling shotting around the planet destroys an
orbital colony killing 16,000 but not without taking damage * a few Fleet
ships manage to engage the bioships and cripple one * biofleet exits the
gravit well of P4 and jumps out * Fleet drags the crippled bioship in for
investigation * 3 weeks later while researchers on on the construct it jumps
taking the space dock with it and 318 researchers and crew * with the data
from the 3 jumps and the reports of the constructs anatomy R&D work on an FLT
drive * military goes on buildup

Interstellar Expansion (FR 163) * After many failed attempts the first FTL
drone is launched and returns * (FR 164) first manned FTL flight * (FR 167)
first FLT flight to another star system * Fleet begins retrofitting FTL into
their ships and starting new FLT classes from the keel up * 5 planets are
found habitable and are colonised * Nim (FR 171) * Rioth (FR 172) * Herlith
(FR 172) * Banic (FR 175) * Sith (FR 177) * 6th system colonised by military,
Sanctuary (FR 173), no habital planet but plenty or resourses and both domed
planetary colonies and orbital stations, and dock yards are constructed * (FR
193) Military HQ is moved to Sanctuary

The First Xeno War (Bug War) (FR 197) * large biofleet enters Sith system and
engages Fleet ships * bugs land troops on the planet * after 4 days planet is
given up, Fleet attempts to retrive as many civilians and personel as possible
but only get 3 transports out * military goes on full allert, buildup goes
into full gear * 2 weeks later Herlith is attacked * Fleet manages to regain
control of the system but colony is all but wiped out. * 1 week later bugs
attack Banic system but fail to get past the Fleet blocade * 3 weeks later
Fleet and MI attempt to regain Herlith but fails to regain the planet * 5 days
later bugs launch sneak attack on Morian and bombard 3 cities before the ships
are destroyed * all attempts are made to locate bugs homeworld * (FR 198) MI
takes back Herlith * shortly after bug bases discovered on moons and
uncolonised planets in Morian controled systems * military shores up defences
and prepares for a long war

Contact with Man
* possibly make contact (FR 197-199) while attempting to locate bug
homeworld
