25 mm allows the detail oriented and miniature sculpturists and the "I Love to
paint them more then play them" crowd to indulge their passions fully.

Glenn says: "6 mm figures are my main interest. I play them in Historical,
Fantasy and Science Fiction. But if you have the figures (5 mm through 54 mm,)
the terrain and the rules... Fight's on!"

Does anyone know how close we are to getting the 15mm HS figs into the
modeling queue? IIRC we were about 2/3 the way there in terms of number
of packs.

As I'm assuming whomever has this total (I've come up a crapper going
through old e-mails) will have the full list, I'm asking for the totals
for individuals to be posted again, if possible.

I must confess to not being sure I've got the right totals myself, so if
anyone has been keeping a closer eye on these then a repost would be helpful.
There is an extra complication re: the HS figs, which is that would people buy
the infantry alone, or would you have to have the "proper" vehicles too? Jez
at Old Crow has mentioned POSSIBLY being prepared to do the vehicles in 15mm
as well as 25mm, but he'd need a good sized firm commitment of orders.....

....and while on the subject of "firm commitments", can I just point out that
despite them being available for over a week now, so far NONE of the list
members who expressed interest in the ones we HAVE done (NI, IF and ScanFed)
have actually placed their orders yet, despite us offering a launch special as
people requested....

Now, I know it's holiday time and maybe some people are away, but for those of
you who've been desperately wanting more 15mm, this isn't exactly the best way
to convince us that they're commercially viable.... <HINT!>

Hint taken... order placed (at least I hope it's worked OK).

Just for the record, I'd buy plenty of the 15mm Slammers figures without

the vehicles being available - I probably wouldn't use 'em as Slammers
anyway.

I don't remember exactly the numbers I had committed to, But I think I ordered
what I had committed to. You will, of course, let me know if I missed. I'll
add to the order if I'm short.

And as I'm bit timid about the order-from-site thing, I'll be getting a
large check from a Brit-based bank which I hope Jon will accept as an

Well, I didn't ask for them (too big for DS 2) but if you have some images I
can evaluate them for my 'Mice in Space' (Alas I found that the
Alternative Armies 15 mm 'human' figures make good 'giant battle mice' -
more so then 15 mm UNSC troops I originally bought hoping to use -
although I might use them for some shorter faced rodent derived troops
(Biology types - any suggestions?) forces.) I can always use variant
rifle armed figures especially. Closed helmets or the UNSC look (Visor slit)
probably are a necessity for 'mice' looking troops.

I assume they are the same height as the 15 mm UNSC figures? (GZG UNSC look to
be 15 mm to eyes whereas AA look about 18 mm.)

Sorry, Jon, but the reduction from 25 mm to 15 mm reduced the pronounced front
of the UNSC helmet to where it did not suggest space for a snout as I had
hoped. You sculpted it well and properly but the effect was lost in the scale
change. Too bad, they looked good otherwise.

my job situation sorted out and I'll place a order.

How good do they look either on 15mm starship deckplans or standing next to

It's not come through yet, Tony - as of late Friday night.... you might
want to try it again (don't worry, I won't bill you twice if you double
order in error!!) ;-)

For everyone's reference, whenever you place an online order on our webstore,
you SHOULD get (very quickly) an automated response email from the store
software thanking you for the order, and listing what you've
ordered so that you can double-check it is correct. If you do NOT get
this automated reply, then there is a chance that the store has not taken the
order properly, and you should either try again or drop us an email to
enquire.

Given they're obviously alien they don't absolutely need to have a
pointy snout like a shrew. Could just be a bit more pug-nosed... like my

Personally, when I heard about the Hammer's Slammers game, I figured that they
would be made in 15mm scale since that would be the best scale for
vehicle/infantry skirmishes. I find 25mm best for mainly infantry
games,
while micro-armor is best for large scale vehicle engagements.

The list I have is (sorry for not making a table out of this; it'd just be
mashed by the mail program - and I'm pretty sure it is incomplete
anyway...)

Me: ScanFed: 3, Phalons: 7 Indy: ScanFed: 4, Phalons: 2, IF: 1, HS: 1,
Stations Crew: 2 Allan Goodall: Phalons: 16 Laserlight: IF: 16 Tony Francis:
HS: 6, Stations Crew: 4, NI: 6
The_Beast: 3 of every new nationality/species <g>
Binhan Lin: HS: 10 Jason Bradley: HS: 10, OUDF: 10 Johan Böjeryd: ScanFed: 6
(?) Brendan Robertson: HS: 5, Stations Crew: 1 Don M: HS: 12 Peter Engebos:
Phalons: 2, HS: 4, Stations Crew: 2 Tim Bancroft: Stations Crew: 2

*************************************

Total: ScanFed: 16, Phalons: 30, IF: 20, Slammers: 51, Stations Crew: 14,
OUDF: 13, NI: 9

> ....and while on the subject of "firm commitments", can I just point

Could have *something* to do with with your choosing to do the ranges you
had the *fewest* pre-orders for - 9 pre-orders for the NI, 20 for the
IF, 16 for the ScanFed, as compared to 51 for the HS and 30 for the Phalons...
or (at least in my case) your announcing the release of the ScanFed minis a
couple hours after I left homefor a week's holiday, and as icing on the
cake the fact that I can't order only 3 ScanFed packs on-line since that

only adds up to £7.50 and your on-line shop only accepts orders of £10
or
more :-/

IOW, if the orders are slow to come you've only got yourself to blame
;-)

Damn, I lost count of how many there are... I guess fifty pounds wouldn't
quite cover it, unless Jon gives me some discount, say, the one good until
the 16th on the site because I DID commit myself. ;->=

Ok, a few more pounds on the check I'll be getting tomorrow.

Could be for many reasons, of course, but it wouldn't be the first time a
sculptor's preference overrode business realities.

On the other other hand, those Anerexoids(sp?) in 15mm would be MOST kewl!
