Friends, I've been trying to create a TOE for a MI platoon according to the
info available in the text of Starship Troopers. Here's what I have. Is this
correct? Comments?
-Mike
Platoon HQ Platoon Leader (Lieutenant)
Platoon Sergeant (Ship's Sergeant)
Section HQ x 2 Section Leader (Sergeant) Assistant Section Leader (Corporal)
Squad x 6 Squad Leader (Corporal) Assistant Squad Leader (Lance Corporal) MI
Trooper x 2 (Private, First Class) MI Trooper x 4 (Private)
Mike, Are you asking for the book or movie TOE?

If you can get your hands on Avalon Hill's Starship Troopers game (the old
one, not the movie edition) it has a complete TO&E for the Terrans, bugs and
skinnys. I'm at my office right now and don't have my copy handy, but i would
be glad to compile the information for you if you can't get one yourself.

That's why I'm asking Mike I have te game and can give him the TOE.

I'm only interested in the book version. The film was a fun little romp, but
as we've already discussed, is NOT Starship Troopers. <g>

Chuck, I used to have that game years ago, lost in a move. But if you would
compile the MTOEs that would be great, I've looked everywhere for it! Thanks
Mike
Here's what I have from my copy of AH ST:
Organization of MI platoon 1 x Platoon leader in command suit 1 x Platoon
sergeant in command suit
2 x section with 1 x Section leader in command suit 1 x Assistant section
leader in command suit 3 x squad with 7 x Marauder suits 1 x Scout suit
Totals are 6 command suits, 42 marauder suits, 6 scout suits
The game didn't have distinct squad/assistant squad leaders, but they
should
be present for SG/DS
Hope this helps, Chuck

And a company is considered Two platoons.

What an awful movie and such a great book. I hope Paul Verhoeven stays away
from all my other favorite books. He had better not even blink at Stranger in

Starship Troopers, a Movie directed by Paul Verhoeven, based on the back cover
of a book by Robert Heinlein.
