Eh you DO know that Veorhoeven's the Executive Producer for SST:Roughnecks,
didn't you?
My guess is he's getting to do more with the series. Which of course ties into
the idea of being able to treat a book much better by stretching it out into a
series rather than a movie.
RHH of course never mentioned a Skinnie serving WITH the Roughnecks, but he
did say that they became our allies later in the war.
Roughnecks seems to be the ONLY reason I can get my hind-end out of bed
at 06:30am when I don't have to anymore. (21 years of "service" and enjoying
my "citizenship" thank you:o)

Actually I do. I don't infer everything He does is bad just because of SST the
movie.

No, for that you have to see "Showgirls". *G* Sorry, couldn't resist...

Some of the actors in "Showgirls" were cute, though I must agree that
as a war movie it was really quite terrible ;-)

That's what the good ole VCR is for;) It also has the bonus of allowing you to
fastfoward through all of the kiddie commercials...
Now all we need is a cheaper DVD that you can record with...
<sighs>
