Hi all.
Could someone recommend some North American based companies/links that
make decent starship miniatures for FT?
Thanks in advance,

OK, drawing from my Miniatures page here are the North American based
miniatures companies:

Recomendations are my opinion only and bases on quality of castings,
interesting design, and ability to fit in with Full Thrust lines of
miniatures.

Question: Is it a Sad Thing that my FT minis have seen more of the world than
I have?

I wouldn't worry, If they came from the UK to the US then all they would have
seen is the Atlantic ocean...provided they could see through the hold of the
cargo aircraft...provided they had eye's in the first place. I think I need
more coffee...

Bang on! I think I'll join you...
By the way, I'd like to point out there is still a fair amount of the
former Geo-Hex produced GZG ships on the market, whether on eBay or
local game shops. By all means, have a look.
As I hope to be putting some fleets on eBay in the near future, I again remind
all that there's a fair amount of various Micro Machines at very low prices,
with ships in Star Wars, Star Trek, and B5 available.
But mostly, BE NOT AFRAID OF TRANS-ATLANTIC TRANSACTIONS! Jon is most
easy to deal with, and many others have already sung high praises of the
quickness of deliveries. Little known fact: Brits want our money. ;->=
Jon's already shown great warmth at the receipt of mine.

Another myth that needs debunking is that it costs more to order overseas. In
the case of larger companies, their prices include VAT
which can be deducted for non-EU orders; this is usually enough to
offset some or all of the shipping costs. Another point to bear in mind is
that if you were to buy (say) UK products from a distributor in the US, you
may not pay as much in direct shipping but then they will
probably cost more model-for-model since the dustributor will have built
another layer of profit in.
And yes, we do want your money ;-)

Don't forget Iron Wind Metals.

They've got a -very- nice line of Battletech spacecraft that should fit
in well with FT. In fact, I'm planning a whole 'nother 'power' around them...
I could witness Brigade's enthusiasm for my lucre, but I was
high-lighting
GZG, apropos to the list. *heh heh*
Hey, Tony, did you see the clutch of your ships going for good prices on
eBay? Thinking about going into the pre-painted market? ;->=
And, quick, here's an image of Tony for the list's web rogues gallery!

Well, in a way so was I - the VAT issue applies to GZG but not us (not
big enough to attract the attention of the VAT-man !)

Missed those - and no, I have enough trouble painting enough of my own
stuff let alone for other people!

That's true; you didn't even mention Brigade Models or give a URL. Wait a
minute! I did that FOR you! You cheeky monkey; you played me like a Piccolo!

King George blew it but Jon is doing his best to correct that error. Hmm,
maybe they (UK) need a new "Royal Family"! Jon, up to the job?
Now here's an idea - if Jon took over as royalty, what would be his new
nobility heraldic "device(s)" - sorry, went blank on the correct
terminology, been away from the SCA too many decades - look like?
Gracias,

On a field sable semee with stars (mullets?) argent, in saltire a plasma gun
and assault rifle proper. Instead of the Lion and Unicorn as supporters, his
shield would have a Powered Armor Trooper and a Scantily Clad Babe With Big
Gun.
I concur.
Now who's gonna draw it up for him?

It fits, although I'd have the shield and supporters a top a NAC
battledreadnought......)

Guns. With the whole surmounted by a NAC power armor helmet.....With shield as

Nah, that'd be cluttered.

Well it's only fitting when I look at my shelves, work table, game tables, and
kitchen table that are also cluttered with Jons' offerings....)
four scantily clad women... cluttered? Busy maybe...

How willing are companies when it comes to requests to knock the VAT off the
top? In additon, how do we know what merchants are including the VAT?
