Can anyone point me in the direction of Space Above and Beyond
rules/conversions/model suggestions for FT, DSII and SGII?

Thanks,

Perry

I don't know about rules but gzg has some miniatures that look "remarkably"
similar to hammerheads, armoured transport and chig fighters I'm afraid I
don't have the product codes. also for chig infantry you could possibly use GW
Eldar?

hope this helps

I used a SCVN in my Sci-Fi Crossover FT game at GenCon. The miniature
was the Ark Royal mini from Stellardyne:

He is reworking this mini so it will cast better and be more accurate to the
show though I have not seen the new version yet.

Fighter minis are available from GZG, the USNC Hammer fighters.

The ship control sheet I used for the SCVN is available at:

Thanks, Dean! I tried Keith's old addresses, and both web site and
e-mail weren't responding. I feared the Dakota badlands had swallowed
him up. That, or his not 'not-B5 wars' ships had got him in trouble.
;->=

I have an Ark Royal, and think it's a good, crisp cast already; looking
forward to the new, improved. I found the Minbar spinoffs less so, but YMMV.
Course, I don't have one anymore. Sent the Rath'dial off in trade to England,
long ago and far away...

Dean, I'm having trouble with both the your URL below and the SSD image having
some wierd image overlay garbage at the bottom (Roksaga? Cube?). If you, or
anyone else, can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'll be forever grateful, offer
first born after this date (I know some of you
would be TOO interested in my 18 yr old daughter... ;->= ), etc.

I've had the same problem. All my attempts to order stuff from Keith over
the last 2 months seem to have fallen in the same "e-mail black hole".

If that was the B5 Cookbook, he did get it.

He has been very busy lately but still he should be getting back to you, I'll
bug him again.

Keith and his wife are the Con Co-Chairs for the local Sci-Fi
convention,
ValleyCon set for October 1-3. A couple of months ago, the gaming chair
and most of the other area chairs got too busy to help run the con so he had
to take all of their duties too.

Every piece of e-mail I sent sat somewhere, then came back with a
'time out' message. I suggest trying the address at the bottom of the
Links page. The FM-NET apparently isn't dead, just not responding.

Just tried MSIE, and worked fine. My copy of Netscape still bo-fu. I'll
try another machine in a bit.

Beast, if you still have problems I can email them directly to you.

While I continue to maintain that Bill Gates must die, I'll make do with
IE in this case. ;->= Thanks for the offer, Dean.

Sorry, she's firmly committed to LARP'ing Vampire. I'd have introduced her
to folks at GenCon, but we were hot-bedding all weekend, and during the
GZG games, she was snoozin' away, charging batteries for another all night
stalking of the streets of Milwaukee.

Course, if I ever get the fluff finished I started so many years ago, of an
NAC lancer
captain with her name, I suppose she'd HAVE to play. ;->=

FM-NET is dead, they just did not tell anyone, so everyone using them
had to figure it out for themselves.

To contact Keith Dague (Stellardyne) use his new email address:

Ah, I see. Doesn't sound like much fun at all. I appreciate the info, Dean.

By the way, where is ValleyCon held?

Dean,

Thanks for the email and web addresses. I'll update my web pages with this
info.

I've got a small start on Star Blazers designs in FTFB terms. There's a
Gamilon Space Battleship online at the URL in my.sig, and it nows seems I
realy did upload the Yamato too.

I still haven't settled on how to represent the Wave Motion Guns. I'm thinking
of something along the lines of a Nova Cannon, but with varying effects based
on size of the gun. The Star Blzers game classifies WMGs by range, so perhaps
1 mass per class of the WMG is SBFBS.

I'm also worried about missiles. Star Blazers ships rely on beam weapons to
kill most of their targets, but msisile strikes are occaisonally shown, and
usually are deadly. The conversion to FT will also increase the range of
missiles compared to beam weapons, but I'm not worried about that. The three
classes of regular shipboard missiles (plus the torpedos) complicate things as
well. My current take on the matter is to count 6 light missiles as 1 SML.
It's still pretty rule of thumb, but I'll work something out and post it.

Uff da, ValleyCon is in Fargo Nort' Dakota, way up here in da hinterlands
don't ya know.

Not the biggest gaming con and the dealers room is pretty sparce, a few local
stores with a few specialty places. Mainly they get some good guests, usually
a well known author and have seminars etc. The Larping and social aspect has
seemed to take off but I have never really gotten into that crowd locally. I
just run a few games of Full Thrust and get in free.
