Salvo Missiles:

How about 6" radius, but -1 missile locks-on for each inch that you miss
by? IE: Roll 1d6 (-1/inch distance) for the number of missiles that
attack the ship.

PDS/ADFC

As a house rule, we've tried - "attack any fighter within 6", any
attacking fighters within 12" (6" attack range +6" ship to ship range )
for ADFC;
"attack any attacking fighters within 6" - need not be attacking this
ship." for PDS.

Seems to work well.

Or -1 for every inch, starting at 3"?  So 4" = -1.  Otherwise at 6" you
have
a -6, which will make it tough to hit.
