Subject: Re: [SG] Settings... and FT: Star Trek designing
Sorry, don't have URL's handing, and not able to give full attention to a good Web search, but there is an Unofficial SGII site that has a fair number of links to cross-over sites. ( Hint, all, if yours is not there, get it added. ;->= ) Allan Brain has done a number of re-engineered designs from the old show and from the SFB game; John Fu has cranked out a goodly number of designs from the movies. Again, don't have URL's, but both are list members and should be popping up shortly. All this info is probably in the FAQ. Pity, don't have the URL for that either. (Somebody SHOOT ME.) *** YES! _Thank_ you! The thing that always pissed me off the most regarding SFB was the was in which Steve Cole took a small design detail from a set of blueprints and blew it up into a system which more or less took over the entire game (and ruined it, IMO). Those drones supposedly located in the D-7's shuttle bay were meant to be practice targets, not semi-active missiles! *** Fair's fair, Phil; Cole did try to use the bunches of lil guns all over the blueprints as evidence of anti-drone batteries. Course, the bp's were hardly official word anyway. *sigh* Ok, I thought it was stupid, but I felt the same when 'attack' shuttles were added. But who am I to argue with a 'professional engineer'.
