I'm pretty sure this came up a few months ago, but can't seem to find it in
the archives.
A squad with only rifles only rolls one die. It can only win on one die, and
therefore can only get a suppress result? Is this true?
It just seems odd.
Can anyone recap the lists view or point me to the right archive thread?
Thanks,

I think you're omitting the quality die.
The rifle-only squad gets its quality die plus the cumulative rifle
firepower die. A rifle only squad rolls two dice, a squad with rifles and one
SAW rolls three dice (the squad firepower, the SAW firepower and the quality
die).

But your squad would be more effective if it had a support weapon or two.
Doh!
Thanks to all! Somedays I don't think I'm ever going to get the mechanics
straight. I sat down last night and made flow charts for combat die rolls.
Maybe they'll stick in my head better that way. i have no clue why SG seems to
be such a tough set of rules for me to wrap my mind around!
Thanks, Martin
