Gentlebeings:
I've just posted a new Gallery page of 25mm SG2 figures & scenery.
http://wind.prohosting.com/~warbard/sg2gallery3.html
I'm especially pleased with the pair of 25mm UNSC pictures, which turned
out near-perfect! There's also some pics of FreiKorp's Aliens, and three
of my FMA/Skirmish pizza-box scenery from last year.
I've also added a picture to the Hard SF Scenery page:
http://wind.prohosting.com/~warbard/scen-hardSF.html
For those of you who were wondering what the containers might look like
assembled.
Enjoy!
G'day,

You mentioned you had to plan out what went where so it'd close easy, got any
blueprints for the lazy on the list?;)
Cheers

Sorry, no blueprints, I eyeballed everything to get it to fit! Tolerances
aren't exactly tight - I tried to leave at least an inch between walls
on opposite sides, because they close together at an angle (as the halves of
the box come together) so need more that just their own width.
The 2nd box - the unfinished one - has one very complex side, with all
the shops and narrow passages, but the other side is very, very simple and
mostly open, just one partition & several X-plan pillars.
The 1st box - the finished one - has a much simpler overall layout; each
half basically has half the available floorspace. I may yet add bits to give
this box a more complex layout.
Just study how a pizza box folds closed, and try fitting walls in with tape to
test layouts, and it'll work out OK eventually!
For cheap, tough and *portable* skirmish scenery, I don't think pizza boxes
can be beaten!
G'day,

Thanks, now all I've got to do is see what the local pizza joint charges for
unused boxes...;)

Mine are all used, actually! Order the pizza, eat the pizza, and clean the
gunk out of the box before it cools there, and that seems to keep grease
stains to a minimum. Paint over any stains with a good heavy coat of paint,
and you won't be able to tell the difference between a used & new box.

Did you think of using paper large enough to match the boxes, then wide
marking pens to match the walls? You could do a single sheet with two colors
of pens, or two sheets, drawing the layout of one side, then, laying the
second sheet over the first up on a window, to see the first layout through
the second.
You're right, though. I'm too lazy for even that. ;->=

I'm sorta with Beth. I assume most recyclers won't take pizza boxes because
the grease in the boxes attract vermin. Anyway, I've seldom seen one that
doesn't have cheese sticking to the box...
