There are releases in cartons of?10 or 12. There is one example of each miniature and a duplicate of one of them as well. The store knows not what is inside until the individual boxes are opened... Scale = what fits in the box Push fit, precoloured kits Going on memory: Sulaco is about 8 cm long Queen Alien is Imposing and would make a great Tyranid for a certain GW game She is made of vinyl type slightly flexible plastic The dropship would be wonderful for 6mm troops-the missile racks open up neatly The cargo loader seems to be a slender 20mm scale The APC is about 10mm scale Other Aliens are up to 54mm scale Lovely stuff MarkS

G'day, > Let me know if there are particular models you are interested in as I'll keep that in mind thanks. > Are they available in cartons down your way? Don't know, only saw two of the small boxes in a window display and haven't had a chance to chase anything up as yet - its Eisteddfod season so all my spare cash is going on 7yr old dance costumes;) Have fun

Much thanks for the info; I've seen 'em on eBay and have been wondering. Do you know if the other aliens are of the same material as the Queen? How's the detail on the Sulaco? I've been pleased enough with the other Konami I've gotten. Someday the Eagles have to play dropship for 6mm... ;->= The_Beast

Heck, I'm quarter-Welsh, and *I* don't understand! *** History The National Eisteddfod of Wales can be traced back to 1176 when it is said that the first Eisteddfod was held, under the auspices of Lord Rhys, at his castle in Cardigan. There he held a grand gathering to which were invited poets and musicians from all over the country. A chair at the Lord's table was awarded to the best poet and musician, a tradition that prevails in the modern day National Eisteddfod. Following 1176, many eisteddfodau were held throughout Wales, under the patronage of Welsh gentry and noblemen. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, an Eisteddfod of historical significance was held at the Ivy Bush Inn in Carmarthen, when the Gorsedd of Bards first became officially associated with this national event. By this time, the Eisteddfod had developed in to a fully-fledged folk festival on a large scale. In 1880, the National Eisteddfod association was formed and charged with the responsibility of staging an annual festival to be held in North and South Wales alternately, and with the exception of 1914 and 1940, this target has been successfully achieved. *** On the other hand, Wales' national doesn't start til July 31. I just wish I had a clue how to say it... The_Beast

G'day, > And Eisteddfod is ???? In its current incarnation (in Australia at least) it's a song and dance (and sometimes poetry) competition basically. Lots of people (99.99% female) of various ages (4 and up) doing routines of varying quality in front of a panel of judges and a theatre full of anxious or bored parents (depending on their level of natural artistic talent, desire to have outstanding children and desire to be anywhere else on Earth!). While Janny loves going I fall into the category who sympathise with the joke from the BBC comedy show "The Goodies" that "eisteddfod" comes from the old Welsh "eistedd" meaning bored and "fod" meaning stiff;) But as a parent I have no choice but to sit politely through 6 hours of people tapping to "singing in the rain", usully in pink raincoats, or singing the 145th rendition for the day of "I saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus"... unfortunately its too dark to read in there and painting minis would be positively frowned upon... Janny was upset enough last year when she discovered I'd used her eyebrow pencil to scribble scenario ideas on the back of the program... many of the based around storming a building and liberating a suffering heroine from a fate worse than death ;) Beast commented (after broadening my knowledge on the subject!) > I just wish I had a clue how to say it... Lachlan answered > "Eye-stead-fod", I believe. Yep that's how its said in this neck of the woods at least. Cheers
