I've only tried "rump" companies on each side. I can't imagine actually
running a battalion size game. As a minimum requirement I don';t think you
could have LESS than 5 umpires to handle the game, so that would limit it to a
convention kind of situation. Lso the time required would probably make it an
all day affair (again a good con endeavor). Good Luck!

What is the largest Stargrunt game anyone has ever played? Anyone done larger
than a company sized action? Battalion? Trying to get an idea on time
requirements plus just plain curious...

Well,

At Western Suburbs Wargames (Melbourne) last year we had a Battalion minus
advance to contact, against a reinforced company in defence.

NAC/NSL Advance:

2 x Coy of NAC Marines on foot. 1 x Coy of NSL Panzer G (16 APCs, 4 Comd
Veh)incl 4 squads of PA

PAU/FSE Defenders

Delaying force of 4 squads of Mercs 2 x platoons of PAU Inf 1 x 5 squad Pl of
FSE Colonial advisers

This was played on a setup of 5 6'x4' tables placed side by side giving a play
area of 6'x30'.

About 8 players all up; took from 10:30 in the morning until 4:00 in the
afternoon.

Good game had by all.
