These figures are fantastic! But is that their face and hair, or some sort of
helmet and breathing apparatus thing? And what color are folks painting them?
Thanks, Jed Docherty

Personally rob deakin and I have been doing the Kra'Vak in skin tones similar
to teh movie Predator critter. Uniforms are black or very dark
blue/green with very bright purples and greens for equipment and
weapons.
I've seen some figures on display at Eureka Min's done in light/rusty
brown equipments; VERY well painted figures.

We treat the braids as organic rather than kit.

That is thier face and hair (actually air follicoles). I myself paint the
faces green with black wash and a highliting dry brush, but Kra'Vak like
humans have different skin tones. I've seen some from Tom's clan that have
greyish skin.

My KV uniforms are a kind of dirt brown (I use Polly-S dark earth or
dirt) then black wash and highlight again with a lighter shade. Gives their
armor a kind of leathery look. I'll show you a previous unposted link for a
page where Tom and I were working out some rules stuff. There are some
pictures there.

I assume that the Kra'Vak being seasoned hunters and no stupider than humans,
would adapt their uniform colors to the environment they are fighting in.

Also with eth whole clan thing going on, you can safely paint your uniforms
however you want and just justify it as a differnt clan thing.

They are bareheaded (we may do some helmeted ones later, and are thinking
about some PA for them too....).

For the record, our display stand examples are painted with tan/brown
skin, dark grey "dreadlocks" and olive green uniforms, but don't read anything
[OFFICIAL] into that.... <grin>

So, since they are wearing body armor, does that mean they don't consider
their head to be a vulnerable spot? 8-)
