I think this is one of the models that was produced for the Warlords 'Hammer's
Slammers' demo game in the UK. The skimmers look like a flying jetbike on
which the rider can stand or kneel.

The other vehicle in the picture is refered to as 'jeep'; I've seen it at GZG,
but not certain if it's also so designated. I've a slammer tank, but I'd like
a 'jeep' to go along.

Was the 'Maus' put out as a kit?

Anyone else find the combat car and 'truck' remind you of a slipper?

ps - Brian, your mails always seem to come with a tiny text file
attached. No-one else's posts arrive like that.

Not quite always, but mostly of late. I see it at an attached file C.DTF.

I think it's one of those things for which I despise Micro$oft, but I may be
in error this time.

Brian, are you using Outlook? I seem to recall a problem an attached
mysterious priority tag.

The "jeep" is our SF25-103 hoverjeep - comes as 103 with NAC crew, 103G
with generic crew and 103M with MP crew (the M version does not have the gun
mount). 4.95 UKP each.

No, it's a kitbash/scratchbuild by John Treadaway of the Warlords - hull
is
a 1/35 BMP3, turret is a 1/48 Merkava, plus lots of bits (some of the
GZG, some others).

Well, that's what John and myself decided they should look like after LOTS of
researching through the books and other sources (eg: the book covers,
the old Mayfair game etc etc)... ;-)

Just couldn't recall off the top of my head, and too lazy to look for it.
Still, pleasure to give your the opportunity for a 'plug'. ;->=

Ah, well, I think I do have a BMP3 waiting in the basement, but no Merkava in
any scale. Always something to keep on the lookout.

And perfectly appropriately in line with the other Slammer vehicles you've
got; I was speaking of just those two with their open cavity with the
raised sides. Given that another company's(EE-tm) skimmer/speeder has
been compared to a 'sneaker', I was just amused by the footgear connection.

Gratefully taken! ;-)

AFAIK the 1/48 Merkava was a cheap Chinese-made kit (company is called
something like "Zhengdu" or "Zhengdfu", IIRC); I've seen them over here a few
times from specialist kit sellers; don't know if you can get them in the US.

The 1/48 manufacturer is "Zhengdefu" (just read it off the box I have
here in front of me). I ordered one of their kits (M60A1) just to see the
quality--and for use with my 25mm figs. Haven't had a chance to
assemble it yet, but it looks decent enough. And for $8 US,a pretty good deal!

Of corse, the reason I haven't assembled it yet is because I'm
scratch-building a bunch of 25mm sci-fi hover tanks...
