<< Hi, Just sent the order out to Geo-Hex for SGII, Heard so many
people on the net talk about it I just had to try it. BTW I would have gotten
it anyway I own all GZG's other games. Curiously I haven't seen much
disscussion of SGII on the mail list, I know it for FT but Dirtside II has a
pretty good following here. So to start discussion I am posing the following
question.

I've heard that SGII is, like all GZG games, very adaptible to other generes.
What generes do you play SGII in, your own, or a conversion of other popular
gameing universes? Why not tell us about them.

A second question, I have not as yet commited any money to 25mm Sci-fi
for SGII. I'm thinking of getting some of the official mini's for the game and
using them in my own Universe. I tend to like realistic looking figures. What
I want to know is how do you rate the GZG figures for SGII. Which of the
nationalities do you like the most. And what are the comon paint schemes for
them.

 Thanks
Hopeing to be playing SGII by the weekend. JNoll >>

Personally, I'm fond of the NSL figs. They look like they mean buisness. Plus,
I've got the worlds easiest cammo scheme for them: paint them green, drybush
them a slightly lighter green, and then use an artist's sponge to dab 'em with
tan and brown. Quick, simple, and effective, and it makes my Kryomek bunkers
look damn good, if I do say so myself. I also use a drafting pen to fill in
all of the little lines seperating the panels on
the Kryomek buildings--it's also a quick procedure, and it has very nice
results. Also quite good are the Denizen Federation Space Marines. Nice figs,
armored, carrying assault rifles that look to be the same tech level as the
GZG figures are. Very well detailed, and they are, like the GZG figs, true
25mm. I have to admit, they do look a little small next to my GW and grenadier
figures, but I can live with that. I use washers to give them a bit more
height, and beyond that, well.... Different worlds, different diets, different
gravities, different eugenics programs, etc. Basically, I can live with the
size difference. By the way, could whoever posted the address for the people
who make the Starblazers minis please do so again? I work in a store, and I'd
kind of like to carry them, if at all possible....

Who makes these Denizen Federation Marines? And where can I get them here in
Oz?

I also have a more general question. According to my sources, Grendel
Productions Ltd have gone out of business. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
And does anyone know where I can get their miniatures here in Oz apart from
Military Simulations?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. Here in the States, they are imported by
Stone Mountain. I don't know where you can get them down in your area, but I
think that GZG carries them as well. If you can mail order from them, they can
probably help.

I've been looking for the Denizen Federation Space Marines. Do you
know who sells/distributes them? Stone Mountain use to, but I don't
think they do any more. Thanks!

As far as I know, Stone Mountain still carries them. At least, that's where we
order them from at my store. If you can't get them directly, go to your local
hobby shop and have them order them for you. Most distributors should still
have a stock; Denizen was never the most popular of Stone Mountain's lines.
Actually, go to your hobby shop first, it's probable easier. If all else
fails, they can be ordered from GZG in England, I believe.
