Before I start asking a bunch of inane questions, I was wondering if
there was a fairly in-depth FAQ for StarGrunt and for that matter,
DirtSide. The Full Thrust one was easy enough to find, but the other two have
become fairly difficult.
And for those who want an inane question anyways...
Does causing potential hits also cause suppression?
It seems to imply that it doesn't, and we found it counter-intuitive,
especially when twice in a row, we got Potential Hits, that didn't do anything
(all Armour rolls exceeded Impact).

Yes. Minor and Major hits automatically cause a suppression. Wounding the
commander of a unit causes an automatic second one.
I can't answer your query about the FAQ, but I do know the answer to your
other question.
Any type of effective fire causes a suppression, even one that doen't result
in casualties.
Think of it this way: If you're walking through the blasted out ruins of a
town in your body armor and hear shots ring out somewhere over there, you're
not likely to hit the ground. But if some of those shots hit *you,* even if
they bounce off your armor, you're going to hit the ground... and probably
think twice before doing anything that exposes you to more risk. Thus, the
suppression.

So does killing him! ;-)

No it doesn't! It embues the unit with an insane blood lust that allows
each member to ignore further wounds and gain a hand-to-hand advantage..
of... plus.. What? Which system are we discussing?
What? Oh...
Wait a minute! There's always 'Look out, sir' so the commander... of..
*ahem* Nevermind...
