Subject: [SG] [DS] Good idea Brian: Painting Tips Page
Okay, Brian suggested someone put up a site that keeps track of things like "how to paint eyes in 25mm" and "what kind of technical pens to use" etc. Myself and Adrian (www.stargrunt.ca) had been talking about similar ideas for our painting and modelling area. I'll volunteer to get off my @$$ and make this a reality. So, if you wish to supply some information for this resource page (such as your knowledge about what brands of technical pens are less runny, what sizes to use on what figures, where to get them, how to paint eyes (variants 1 through N), etc), please drop any hints/tips/etc to me and Adrian via http://www.stargrunt.ca/contact_subs/contact_subs_index.htm Choose "submissions" and just put a title on it "Painting Tip" or "Figure Finishing" or something that makes it obvious it is destined for the figure modelling/painting section. And of course your name. You can also send email to the addresses listed on this page instead (if you have an attachment). If you do send stuff in, text is the preferred format. We'll (I'll, since I haven't asked Adrian....) edit the tips into a sort of FAQ/HOWTO type thing. So, send me your suggestions and guidance (and if you've got small jpegs (around 50Kb or so) of the results, drop those to us too by mailing one of the e-mail addresses we provide - just remember to say what submission it accompanies - the web form doesn't handle attachments). Painting faces and other such things properly belong on a site for gropos.... and stargrunt.ca should make a good home.:)
