OK, odd question... does anyone know of any 25mm or 15mm non-human
civilian figures? Technicians, ship's crew, civvies, juveniles, etc etc?
Eventually the Hu'man are going to attack a KV colony, instead of the
other way around - and there's always non-GZG universe cantinas,
wretched hives of scum and villany to base FMA Skirmish or SG games in!
I'm fairly sure GZG don't do any ET civvies - does anyone else, past or
present?
Laserburn. Ship's Crew, civilians etc.

Try the STREET LEVEL FIGURES on the GZG site (http://www.gtns.net/gzg/)
that's up your alley I think.

I've got a fair few GZG 25mm civilians already, actually. Very cool
figures - see my website for some pictures I took last year of the 25mm
civs I've painted.
GZG doesn't have *alien* civilians, though - unless I'm missing
something.
Specifically, I'm looking for the sort of alien civilian/quasi-civvie
that clutter up the background in Star Wars, Bab5, etc... I'm not sure anyone
makes such, though.

Oops sorry.... to try and cover my stupidity if we're talking Star Trek aliens
you'll be fine just put some extra dots on them or some putty on their nose;P
May be the only way to get them at all really.

Thinking about it some more you may be able to do something with the Dr Who
alien figs, though at about $16 USD for a pack of 5 they may be a bit much.
If you're interested they're at http://www.black-tree-design.com/
Cheers
Assuming you're talking 25mm, weird-a** idea coming up...
Conversions of soldiers to civvies of some poses wouldn't be too difficult;
some just need weapons removed. Matched with some similarly converted 15mm for
children, I'd think you could put together some nice family units. Don't have
specific figs for conversions, though.
In the case of bugs, could you just shorten the legs a bit to make gentler
sex, though I'm never assuming that means female.
Sorry if this just early morning rambling, but I could tell you were getting
frustrated people were giving you aliens, and civs, but not alien
civs. ;->=

A few of the assorted aliens in our SGV range are unarmed - the
"not-Mikey"
(SGV-10) and the Large Alien Primitive (SGV-12) particularly. The
"Greys"
(GD range) are mostly either unarmed or carrying easily-removed things
like
"paralysis rods". BEM-5 and BEM-7 from the Bug Eyed Martians range are
also carrying no visible weaponry, and might do to add a bit of humour....
The old WEG/Grenadier Star Wars figure boxes had a few unarmed alien
characters, and for a Cantina there is the excellent set of band, singer and
bar from the Metal Magic Spacelords range.
Hope that is of some help.....
I think the point is, Jon, he's looking for civilians to match, and perhaps be
guarded by, alien warriors. While one has to be somewhat careful about scale
and sculpting, humans is humans, but BEM's is not Bugs is not
not-Preds is not...
Now, they don't have to be a complete match: in the Evil Empire's (tm)
thingies, if you think Aliens start as Face Huggers, for Genestealers figs,
progeny could be represented by those weird flapping things from Necromunda.
(Sorry, I've several, but don't recall what GW calls 'em.)

They actually used to have some "junior" genestealers, about 15mm high which
were mainly sold as wizards familiars, I have some somewhere.

And, I thought there was something hideously 'child-like' to the
previous crouched termagaunts (or were those hormagaunts? I pride myself on my
uncertainty here ;->= ) that would have made fair juvenile 'stealers or
warriors.
I'm certain other lines have similar related figs; just drawing a blank at the
moment, save for various goblinoids. However, the examples were mainly for
stimulating other's brains.
The GW familiar example is a good one, save that you'd have to special order
them, and that would be ruinous. However, previous version plastic 'gaunts are
often fairly cheaply found.

If they don't need clothes on, you can try RAFM's Call of Cthulu Range for
tentacled slimy things.

Gracias,
G'day,

We bought lachy a box of gaunts for his 8th birthday (his request). He put
them together as follows
couple of squads of blade ones (with the odd one with horns stuck on as
leadership crests) couple of squads of gun ones (with the odd one with horns
stuck on as leadership crests) ripper swarms he split up as juveniles toxin
glands he stuck in swarms on bases as larva
bony bits he asked me to put on "mud-like" bases as egg masses
He then sat down and made up the life cycle for the lot.... at least someone
took in all that biology I brought home to learn:)

Fair's fair, he was doing the very thing I was suggesting, without my nudge.
