I recommend "The Wyrmship Technical Manual" by torm Press as a good
background source for things like this. Most of the equiopment in the game are
magically enhanced, e.g., using magic rather than lead to sheild fusion
reactors, etc. Very interesting.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly -- my reading tastes are fairly eclectic, but
when I actually play something it is usually historical or hard science. [My
big gripe with Full Thurst is that the movement system isn't truly
vector-based.]
If Mark wants to experiment with magic, though, the book I mentioned would be
an interesting source.
