Does anyone vouch for these people?

I have had some nice email conversations with Tom Anderson who wrote some
extra background for the RDC(accessible via the GZGPedia).

A totally different question is whether you can trust the RDC in game terms.
The Dutch have no major enemies and are mostly interested in trade. So, if you
don't interfere with their trade interests they'll probably leave you
alone. On the other hand, politics being what it is...:-)

of course! go to any bank, large or small, anywhere in civilised space (and
some in the Romanov Hegemony:)) and you'll find Dutch traders have impeccable
credit records.

if, otoh, you mean vouch for in more meta terms, then that's me - i'm
the curator of this delightful nation.

So,

pretty accurate. the Dutch aren't villains in quite the same way as some
powers, and don't have any major feuds with anyone. they're rather like modern
Japan, but maybe slightly more willing to send the gunboats in.

heh heh heh.
