So where did everybody go? The list has been quite for days.
I survived KublaCon, though I did not play any GZG games. Good Miniatures turn
out always about 4-6 miniatures games going, usually more. A lot of
historical
(WW-II and ACW) as well as CAV, War machine, and Age of Sail. Elsewhere
in the building was the 40k Tournament, a Battletech game in 28mm (Mechs
too!), GW and Crocodile Games demos.
And, I don't think I saw anyone from the list!
Hello, anyone out there?

I'm trying to figure out how best to apply Crew Quality to FT
(preferably for a large number of ships)--but I keep getting
distracted as I wander through the archives and see things like
"LEGO-Grunt".

Damage Control & Strike the Colours.
Trying to apply it as combat modifiers gets too messy and impacts on the
simplicity of the system.

Sounds like you had a good time, would have loved to have seen the Battletech
game in 28mm......Wow! I'm a Macro Ogre and Bolo fan anyway...)
Saw Beth on another list she at least is out there somewhere....)

the guys from Armorcast are only about an hour away. Think MadCats, Atlas,
Vultures, etc all with buildings and parks and streets. In another room was a
40k siege (think of a wall 25 feet long and 18" high) with several 28mm
titans. Who says that the only do it BIG in Texas?

I gather you don't have SARS to worry about yet, then? Lucky you. We have
direct flights from Shanghai and Taipei landing here right on schedule. Makes
us all feel real secure...
bzzzt bzzzt - Denmark calling in......
I have been lurking as usual :-) Lately I have been busy trying out
Baptism
of Fire for WW2 - shame on me... I just got too lazy, so instead of
tweaking SG more to fit to WW2 terms and doctrines it was easier to find a
specific
set of rules - lol! But I am looking forward to play a nice game of SG
scifi later this year:)

Seen a games day 40k siege from the Horus Heresy that was huge.I like the some
what over done stuff.....It's either a well known character flaw or the result
of having worked for a government that paid $3,000 for a toilet seat, take
your pick...)

That's one reason I'm not letting the wife go home to Korea for a bit..
Beth, Been there done that, and have the pox marked pictures of our two to
prove it.... Hang in there and soldier on mom......)
Ouch! See you when things return to what passes for normal.

28mm Battletech game?? Cool.

I was at Marcon all weekend (Columbus, Ohio), though no gaming for me as I was
there to support their science track programming. However, I did wander
through the gaming area a couple of times. Only saw RPGs and GW gaming going
on.

Ok, I spent the weekend in mid-Missouri at my niece's handfasting.
Didn't even get a chance to scope out my preferred game shop there.
However, this summer's festivities will include both Origins and GenCon; I'm
hoping to tease Beth with stories of playing G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. with
Chris... ;->=
The_Beast
I'll be at Origins as well... maybe we'll meet there.
I'm running one game each day, though not many people have registered for
them... *frumple* so let me know if you want to know how to find me.

To get this moving on-topic, the May issue of Atlantic Monthly had an
article on SeaLaunch, a private (American-Russian-Ukrainian-Norwegian)
company that puts satellites into geosynchronous orbits:

I'm out here, recovering from foot surgery. I'm still in the "keep it iced and

start painting again next week. I want to make good use of this time off of
work, by gum!

I seem to remember that was a method of fortifications that looked liek giant
concrete lego blocks. Though of course lego men are about 25mm in

This was using LEGO men and blocks for SG, see 1996 archives
I'm here as well......recovering from Gamex, back surgery,
lack-o-sleep....the usual.
Pretty bummed about Gamex. Unusually slow...probably because of Kubacon going
on at the same time in SF, and GW Gamesday coming this weekend. Humf. Oh
well,......... there's always GenCon SoCal! Yippie! About time too! Later,
Try KublaCon next year. Or take a look at ConQuest this Labor Day. I think the
attendance numbers for KublaCon or ConQuest might be worth looking at (I can
try to get them for you). Plus we want to see your stuff up here!
