I know for starters you should probably soak them in warm water with detergent
to remove the residues from the resin. Painting can be a problem too. I would
recommend a base coat of an enamel (the Citadel Sprays are good) although I
used an oil base Humbrol personally. Then acryllics on top. For glue I use
plain old SuperGlue (that's the brand name here).
Anyone remember the chemical nomenclature? I'm sure it is a cyanic base.

Okay, so I finally have seen/located/*bought* some resin vehicles.
The local games warehouse is finally now carrying them (woo!) and I'm now the
proud owner of two (2) 25mm Wombat APCs.
Question is...what kinds of glues are best for these things? I toyed with
getting one or two of the other vehicles, but they were in pieces parts,
and...well...I'm not sure the best glue for them. The epoxy I use now is
awesome stuff (when I get the mixture right) but is a mess and I can only do
small quantities of minis at a time.
Painting the resins. What's the best way to paint these guys? I have a couple
of hexagonal pieces from the 'firebase' I picked up a while back (no assembly
req'd:) and painted them...only to find the paint
is now flecking away. :-( (okay, so I didn't put a top coat on...)
Any/all (reasonable ;-) suggestions welcome.

1. Dont undercoat with citadel acrylic paints, it evaperates right off.
2. Undercoat with enamel
3. if in doubt, break fluid will take the acrylic paint off and not damige the
resin (unless you leave it there for a week).

I just got done painting two resin vehicles--the wheeled tank with the
laser turrent, and the big 6 wheeled APC. I used superglue, plain and simple,
to put 'em together. It works very well bonding resin to resin, but less well
holding metal to resin. You might want to use epoxy for the metal bits.

Wash them in soap and water, and scrub them--an old toothbrush
works well. After that, spraypaint them (I usually use something vaguely
similar
to the color I want to paint the vehicle--Olive Green, in this case).
Then
paint them as normal. The spraypaint will stick very well--I just use
Testor's Model Master colors--and acrylic paint goes on quite well over
top of it. When it's all done, I dullcoat the result, and have had no problems
since.
Good luck, and I hope that this helps....

Ordinary Washing powder in a concentrated solution will do this too. Its also
a heck of a lot less potentially dangerous than brake fluid.

PS: Don't drink drive! It tastes bloody awful!

But you can't go past the NAC Phalanx.

I used Epoxy on mine as it filled in the gaps between the halves that I
couldn't fix otherwise. I also used Epoxy on any large parts and super glue on
the smaller parts.

I clean the resins thoroughly in soapy water first, dry them and then spray
prime them. Then I spray paint on the base colour and build up the detail from
there.

Super glue is cyanoacrylate glue. I also use this for my resins.
For undercoating I use car spray primer. I use this because it is
significantly cheaper than 'model' paint and it provides a good rough (in
paint terms anyway) surface to paint acrylics onto.
