Hello,
Does anyone use the Renegade Legion minis for Dirtside?
They seem like good Hi-Tech APCs and Tanks. But I just
wanted feedback before I buy.
I see the boxes of plastics have been going on ebay for about $15 per box. At
54 minis per box that comes out to less then 40 cents per mini.
Compared to $7.50 per pack of three tanks, 40 cents each seems like a great
price.
What is the down side?
Comments? Views?
While I don't have any, I have played with someone who does. They make very
nice DS2 vehicles.

Ditto; well, I have several boxes, but never got around to using any. However,
a friend does, and they paint up nicely.
Two caveats: the gun barrels are a bit fragile, and the Renegade Legion seems
a bit rarer than the TOG. The latter point merely means that you're
more likely to have unique-on-table tanks with the RL's.

I have some RL miniatures. The thing that strikes me, however, is that they
seem kind of small. Or rather, infantry minis from other makers seem kind of
large standing next to them. Which manufacturer of infantry figs do you use
with your RL vehicles?

They did paint up quite well and you get plenty of figures for a modest
amount.
I use them for Kra'vak, actually.
They are a little on the small side, but look cool when properly painted.

I generally chop off the gun barrel and replace it with something a little
sturdier. I've scratchbuilt SLAM and ADS turrets for them as well...with
mixed results. When/if I find a good source of alternate turrets, I'll
be painting them up as my Illuminati force for DSII.
