If you're really hurtin' to get a game or seven in, and you've got the system
to handle it, I suggest the following as a substitute for RL playing until an
RL player or four can be found:

Alternatively, you can always check the Unofficial Player Locator Page
for opponents (though I can't guarantee it's up-to-date if someone's
moved on and hasn't sent me any information changes)

Well, I can play full sized Stargrunt or Dirtside
in at least a low tech environment...;-)

I can only field a section of armor however...:-/

Which doesn't seem to help when you live in the arse end of nowhere (also
known as northeast Louisiana). Of course I thought that with roleplaying,
placed an ad in a Call of Cthulhu equivalent to the player locator page, and
now I have a roleplaying group playing Delta Green! Of course the two guys
drive down here from Texarkana, which is about 3 hours away, but at least I
have a game group.

It's easier to find roleplayers, though, than GZG miniatures players.

Too bad they come in together; you could have always pulled out miniatures
while waiting on one or the other. Have you tried suggesting using SGII for
working out battles/raids? Delta Green is modern era, right?

If you keep it simple, and work the battle right, even RPG'ers can get
enthused. Just be open to adding RPG elements.

It's modern era, but the scenarios tend to be small. SG2 is a bit too big for
it.

I had intended to use FMAS for Cthulhu, but there isn't enough in FMAS yet to
handle Cthulhu sanity. I've been writing my own set of miniatures rules for
Cthulhu games, but it's slow going.

Maybe a sanity rating, similar to Armor. A minor event might roll 1 die

to attack, a major event might roll 2d. If the event exceeds the Sanity

on one die, the player loses a sanity point; if the event rolls both dice
higher, he has a breakdown. The Sanity rating could be a fixed score, so you
always have, for example, a 7 as long as you

For example, Jerry sees the local high school's head cheerleader devoured by a
shapeless fiend. This is violent but not all that weird
-- the head cheerleader is *always* doomed. Jerry takes a 1d8 roll
against his Sanity 7 and passes handily--no effect.
Later on, Jerry plays in FMA Sheep, an event of such soul-rending,
mind-wrenching proportions that it rolls 2dSQRT(105). Both dice exceed
his sanity rating, so he loses a SAN and also gibbers frantically when in the
presence of mint jelly.
